The kind of seller who runs on Linnworks
Linnworks describes itself as multichannel inventory and order management for growing ecommerce businesses. Its users are usually selling the same catalogue on Amazon, eBay, their own Shopify store and a handful of newer marketplaces at once, and they rely on Linnworks to stop one channel overselling stock that another has already sold.
By the time a business is on Linnworks, the software side is normally in good shape. What breaks first is the physical operation: more channels means more orders, more carrier accounts and more packing benches than a small in-house team can staff through peak.
What multichannel volume asks of the warehouse
Each marketplace in your Linnworks account comes with its own dispatch expectations and seller metrics, and a late parcel on one channel can hurt your standing there even if the others are fine. That makes dispatch consistency the thing that matters most. We dispatch orders placed before 9pm the same day (cut-offs vary by carrier, service and daily order profile), at 99.9% pick and pack accuracy, whichever channel the order started on.
Keeping every channel on a single stock pool is the other half. Linnworks already treats your inventory as one figure spread across listings; we hold it the same way, as one pool across DTC, marketplace and B2B, rather than splitting stock per channel. FBA prep and FBM orders can run from the same pool if Amazon is one of your channels.
Routing orders from Linnworks to Smart
Linnworks lets you route each order to a fulfilment location, whether that is your own warehouse, a 3PL or a drop-ship supplier. Smart becomes one of those locations. Orders that your routing sends our way flow to us automatically, and once they ship, stock levels and tracking sync back so Linnworks can pass them on to the marketplace or store the order came from.
Because the connection sits inside Linnworks rather than beside it, your existing channel links, listing tools and reporting keep working. You can move all channels at once or start with one and route more to us as you gain confidence, and Andy Paine, your named contact, plans that rollout with you.
