Temu for sellers holding stock in the UK
Temu, operated by Whaleco, sells in many countries and is best known for very low prices and constant promotions. For its first years most goods were shipped from manufacturers a long way from the buyer. It now also registers individual and business sellers through its seller centre, and those sellers list products and fulfil orders to UK customers from stock already held here.
The shoppers are price-driven and the baskets are often small, so the brands that do well on Temu tend to have compact, well-priced products and the volume to make thin margins work: homeware, pet accessories, phone and tech accessories, beauty tools and gifts.
What a Temu order needs from the warehouse
Temu's customer shipping page shows how the buyer side works. After paying, a customer sees the delivery time on their confirmation page and gets a message setting out processing time; once a package ships they receive a notification with its delivery time, and a tracking number when it is ready. Seller-shipped products also sit outside Temu's minimum order value, which makes single cheap items easy to buy.
For fulfilment that means three things. A shipped status has to be real, because the buyer is told the moment it changes. Parcels need tracked labels so there is proof when a buyer says something never arrived. And packing has to be lean and consistent, since postage and materials take a visible bite out of low-value orders. The dispatch and tracking expectations themselves sit in your Temu seller agreement and seller centre; we work to the handling time you set there.
We choose the carrier per parcel, including DPD, Evri and Royal Mail, and every parcel is tracked with proof of delivery.
How Temu orders and stock move between your seller centre and Smart
Temu orders come into our system automatically. We pick at 99.9% pick and pack accuracy and pack to your spec, and orders arriving before 9pm are dispatched the same day (cut-offs vary by carrier, service and daily order profile). Tracking and shipped status go back to Temu so the customer's notification fires with a working tracking number.
Stock counts sync back from our shelves. That matters on Temu more than most channels, because a promotion can move a lot of units quickly and the same stock may also be selling on Amazon, eBay or your own site. One pool, one count, visible in the client portal, keeps a Temu flash sale from overselling your other channels.
